How to Seek Redress

Disputes where the value of the claim is less than $20,000 can be handled at Small Claims court. Small Claims court is presided over by a judge of the Provincial Court. This court is intended to provide an informal and inexpensive method of dispute resolution with or without the assistance of a lawyer.

All other civil law matters are heard at the Court of Queen's Bench, you will need to consult a lawyer.
