Saskatchewan Justice

Restitution is money paid to a victim for the actual loss or damage resulting from a crime. The judge may order the offender to pay money to the victim.

The Ministry of Justice and Attorney General has two programs that may be able to assist you or answer questions about restitution.

Adult Restitution Program

Provides information to victims about restitution, monitors payments and works with offenders to help ensure payments are made, and works with Probation Officers and Prosecutors to enforce restitution orders.

Restitution Civil Enforcement Program

Assists victims with the civil enforcement of restitution orders.
