The Land Information Services Facilitation Act

The Land Information Services Facilitation Act:

• transferred employees from the Ministry of Justice and Attorney Generaland the Saskatchewan Geomatics Division of Saskatchewan Property Management Corporation to a new Crown corporation (Information Services Corporation);
• authorized the new corporation to retain revenue from the operation of Land Titles and Saskatchewan Geomatics; and
• confirms that the pensions and the rights of the transferred employees will not be diminished.

The Act also addresses the transitional requirements necessary to ensure that all rights and liabilities of the Government of Saskatchewan are transferred to, and continued under, the new Crown corporation.
