Throne Speech 2008
Did You Know

2008-09 will see planning for a new court facility in La Ronge, an addition to the Saskatoon Court of Queen's Bench, and improvements to court circuit points.

For most cases where the amounts in question are higher, there is a somewhat different approach and process. As well, there will be higher requirements for the evidence that must be produced.

If you make a claim for an amount in excess of $5,000, in addition to the standard application form, you will be provided with a form to explain your claim ( see Sample Statement of Claim for Claims over $5,000). You will then serve the claim and Notice of Hearing (see Sample Notice of Hearing and Claim for Claims over $5,000) on the other party. The service requirements are different from the standard process. The claim and notice must be served 25 days before the hearing date and parties will be required to file a list of evidence to be relied upon, before the hearing.
