The Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards Act applies the United Nations Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards to Saskatchewan. The Act applies only to the recognition and enforcement of awards respecting differences arising out of commercial legal relationships, whether contractual or not.

With some exceptions, regardless of the country in which it was made, an arbitral award must be recognized as binding and enforced by the court. In Saskatchewan, an applicant for recognition of a foreign arbitral award must apply to the Court of Queen's Bench.

Recognition and enforcement of the award may be refused, at the request of the person against whom the award is made, if that person gives proof of the invalidity of the award or arbitral proceedings.
