Registration Fee: $195.00 + GST  

This introductory workshop is targeted to new and existing members of administrative tribunals. Participants will be provided with basic knowledge and tools essential to become effective administrative tribunal members. The workshop provides opportunities to practice skills in role play scenarios and will include small and large group discussions.  

Included in the workshop are the following topics: 

• overview of how administrative tribunals fit within the larger legal system
• roles and responsibilities of a tribunal member
• conducting a fair hearing
• processing information/evidence gathered during a hearing
• making a lawful decision 
• effectively writing decisions with supporting rationale 

 Courses will be offered subject to adequate enrolment. Enrolment for these courses is limited. We require three weeks notice, in case of cancellation. You may be charged a cancellation fee, unless you find a replacement. The cancellation fee is determined by the cost of the course, less $100.
