Saskatchewan Justice

A collection of resources and tools related to overall management of access and/ or privacy within a government institution or local authority.

The Handbook provides employees across government and local authorities in Saskatchewan with a quick introduction and links to information about key issues and responsibilities related to records and information management including access to records, privacy, security, organization, retention and disposal of records. The handbook is intended to both raise awareness of these important issues and to serve as a reference tool that can be retained by employees and referred to when there are questions about one of the topics.

This document provides guidance to ensure obligations are met under Section 60 of The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (the FOIP Act), which allows a head to delegate powers and duties to one or more officials within the government institution.

Located here is an assortment of on-line resources related to access, privacy and records management from across Canada and around the world. Included are Information and Privacy Commissioners, government websites, special interest and educational websites.
